A Servo Drive provides the control signals to the servo motor. A Servo Motor is a relatively small motor with a very high output torque relative to its size. This Motor shaft can be positioned to specific angular positions by sending the servo a coded signal relative to the feedback sensors embedded in the motor housing. As long as the coded signal exists on the input line, the servo will maintain the angular position of the shaft. As the signal changes, the angular position of the shaft changes.
