How do you determine if a motor needs to be replaced? PDF Print E-mail

The most obvious signs that your motor needs to be replaced:

If the motor has a burnt smell to it,

If the motor will not start or run,

If the motor is noisey.

 

Sometimes the problem may not be with the motor. Make sure to check for brittle wiring, tripped brakers or blown fuses.
